Video: Kimbra, Mark Foster and A-Trak team up for 'Warrior'
by Dan Hyman 10 hours ago
.
If anyone can attest to the power of a viral video, surely it’s Kimbra. The singer from New Zealand’s stock has soared after her splendid turn as the woman to Australian singer/songwriter Gotye’s disgruntled man in his smash single “Somebody That I Used To Know,” and its accompanying — and visually spectacular — music video..
And while Kimbra recently released Vows, her major-label debut now, now she’s once again linked up for another killer collaboration. This time she’s partnered with Mark Foster of Foster The People and acclaimed DJ A-Trak, one half of DJ duo Duck Sauce, for the hot new track, “Warrior,” whose music video you can watch below.

And the track, a dance-pop cut overrun by skuzzy synths and a menacing beat, features the rap styling of none other than T.I. This isn’t the first time that the two have paired up; the rapper was featured on Kingston’s 2009 cut “Wrap U Around Me” from his sophomore album, Tomorrow. You can take a listen to “Back 2 Life (Live It Up)” below.
